Taste good

The taste is great, but I was expecting a stronger black sesame aroma, which unfortunately wasn’t there. The protein powder isn’t black, so it’s clear that the amount of black sesame powder is very small.

LOVE the black sesame

I lovee the black sesame flavor it’s so rich and nutty it has crunchies that gives really good texture as well. When i’m on a diet my biggest struggle is my sugar craving and i would be snacking a lot I’m surprised how good it tastes and it only has 160 calories it also keeps you full for a good amount and the packaging is so convenient i always just put it in my bag and it’s just a really easy, yummy, and healthy snack i’m so glad i got this protein shack and i’d love to try other flavors and definitely order again

Delicious and Convenient

This sesame protein/meal replacement shakes are a quick and easy way to meet protein goals and curb hunger. They are easy to prepare, I just add cold water (or almond milk) and shake it well and it’s ready to drink right out of the bag within seconds. They are easy to store and pack to go so are a great work meal option. They taste natural and delicious, subtly sweet with plenty of crunchy sesame pieces.

A delicious way to enjoy an Asian dessert on the go

I have never seen a traditional Asian sesame "shake" like this in a pouch before and I guess it is a sign of things becoming more modern. I really enjoy the taste and how I can have something filling by just adding water and shaking. It is nice that the screw top lid is there so I can just have some and come back for the rest later on. The crunchy protein crisps are so fun and somehow they stay crispy. My little tip is to use hot water (and some oven mitts as the pouch does get very hot) and shake well. The hot drink can be poured into a mug for a more warming treat during the cold months. I think this drink is more for those minding their carbs but not necessarily on keto very strictly as one pouch would essentially take most of the allotted carbs for the day, leaving you only a few to work with.

No English instructions. But like it anyway!

I totally couldn’t find any English instructions on what I was supposed to do with this, but I decided the pouches look like they are designed to be used to drink from. So I removed the cap and filled one with water. Then I shook. I poured mine into a glass so I could at least see what I was going to drink, and it tastes surprisingly good. It looks a bit like gray sludge, so there’s that. I didn’t let mine sit. I actually didn’t want it to settle. I’m not sure if it would have layered itself as pictured, or not. But the rice bits are crispy, it’s lightly sweetened, and I like the high amount of protein for the calories. I think I want to try the other flavors of this.

Quick and convenient

The black sesame protein shake is in powder form. I wasn't aware of that at the time of ordering because I assumed all protein shakes were liquid. The order comes with seven packs of ready-to-mix plastic containers with protein powders in them. You can add either water or milk to it. I prefer milk because it tastes richer and creamier. I also like these are low in sugar. The powder is easy to mix and the containers are very portable.

High protein, high fiber, high iron, really a drink and not a chewable food

I was really looking forward to a beverage with all the chunks shown in the pictures - the black sesame, the crisps, and the black beans. However, after mixing up this shake, only cream-color crisps are present in this brownish/gray shake. Thus, the statement made in the listing, “Don’t just drink it down, chew your food,” doesn’t seem to apply, unless we are talking about a handful of crisps per drink. The taste is decent, with a seedy/earthy taste, moderately sweet, and it mixes well in water with a whisk. I did not like that there are no instructions for mixing either on the can or in the listing description. It does say that 3 TBSP of mix makes one serving, and to be sure to dilute it for digestion. I ended up just eye-balling it, but instructions would have been nice. This is a high protein, high iron, high fiber drink mix.

Can't Read Details, but Tastes Decent.

Gave these a go for those days I need a quick snack or need to supplement some protein in.💓 Things to Love 👇👅 Taste was actually pleasant! Almost like a subtle rice crisp cereal with little to no sugar.🌾 The crisps were a nice texture addition.🫴 Macros are nicely balanced for a lean meal replacement.👃 Had a neutral and subtle smell that wasn't bad.🫤 Things that were meh 👇🤷‍♂️ Everything is in Korean which doesn't make it easy to understand the water lines, ingredients, or anything else. I see that this is all available here on Amazon, but in a quick pinch, I'm not looking that stuff up.🏷️ Pretty pricey for only 7 shakes.🧍‍♂️ If you could stand them up between sips that would be cool rather than putting the lid on and laying it flat.

Great taste!

I admit I ordered this supplement out of curiosity as I have never tried anything like it. First thing you notice is long list of ingredients, with some item on the list having chemical lab names. Some of the ingredient combinations do not make much sense, for example stevia (sweetener) is combined with corn syrup (also sweetener). My favorite ingredient on the entire list is squid ink.The list, however, does not contain anything clearly unhealty, and includes selection of essential vitamins. You will need to get over the fact that this product is peculiarly named "flimeal".Product tastes great and the roasted rice crisps are a great addition. I will likely order it again.

Highly Recommended

Great ingredients and not too sweet — exactly what I was looking for! It also tastes great mixed with water instead of milk, which is a nice bonus. Would definitely recommend!

Delicious

I was kind of scared after I ordered this because I was worried about the taste. I just tried it with milk, it's delicious! It's fast and easy. I just fill it with my milk, shake, and drink. Easy way to get a meal and get in my protein. I'm a nurse and this really helps out. I plan to order this again in more flavors!

So delicious

This is my second purchase, and it’s so delicious. It doesn’t taste artificial, it’s not too sweet, and it has a nice, nutty flavor. I love that I can enjoy protein in a healthy and convenient way!

Delicious and filling!

I love these protein powders and often drink it mixed with almond milk as a light lunch after having a heavy meal the day before. Reminds me of ‘misu garu’ my Korean mom used to give me when I was a lil kiddo

Good for simple protein snack

It tastes good, not too strong of black sesame flavor. It tastes like misugaru if you know the korean grain drink. Theres crunch pieces that doesn’t dissolve that adds texture to the drink which is not my favorite but it’s good for a quick snack!

For the stevia haters….

Let me start off by saying…. I LOATHE LOATHE LOATHE the taste of stevia and most sugar alcohols. I cannot do it. I bought this really hoping the stevia flavor wouldn't be bad considering it’s pretty high up on the list, but i did some research on enzyme treated stevia and decided to gamble. Let me tell you this is actually pretty flipping good. I’ll be honest, yes, you can taste the stevia a little bit, and yes it does leave a bit of a stevia aftertaste in your mouth but on a scale of 1-10, the stevia taste is like a .5-1/10. And to that note, it’s just much more of a subtle and soft taste of stevia rather than subtle but still strikingly bitter.I tried the black sesame shake with water, and I can absolutely see myself reaching for a second one. I imagine it would taste sooo good with milk.I’ve only tried the black sesame though. Hopefully this review helps any other stevia averse people like myself!

black sesame is delicious

the black sesame flavor is so great!!! it was really easy to drink and the crunchies gave good texture. it kept me full for a decent amount of time. i used reduced fat milk and i really liked it, but i haven't tried it with water and don't know if i want to. the mixability is ok, i frequently get powder lumps of varying sizes no matter how much i shake the pouch. luckily it's not chalky so getting the undissolved powder wasn't a bad experience and i still enjoyed it.11/7/25 edit: i've since tried other flavors so adding my impression of them plus some additional thots.-green tea: not very strong flavor, but it's mild and there is a flavor so it's nice if you want smth that isn't bold.-coffee: pretty good, thought it was going to taste sweeter and it didn't. if you want a caramel coffee flavor this is gonna hit the spot. i don't love it personally tho-milk tea: wow this is sweet. saw another review where someone felt suspicious about how low sugar it actually is. this flavor makes me agree, bc wow it is candy sweet. i didn't notice a sugar crash or anything tho, but the flavor is too much. if you love brown sugar boba at 100% sweet this is gonna be ur thing.strawberry: pretty good for fake strawberry milk flavor. it's not a flavor i want all the time, so again not one of my favorites.i really like that these products have fiber in addition to protein so i can make sure I'm getting enough of that too. they're honestly pretty convenient and if you're leery of traditional protein mixes like me you might find this easier. i have a hard time w sweetener aftertaste no matter which is used, but they balance the amt of sweetener well enough that i can barely tell it's there if at all.bc it's so expensive it's not smth i can do everyday, but it's really convenient when i don't want to deal w meal prep for breakfast. just fill up the pouch get out the door shake shake shake and drink during my commute.what i said in my first review still stands. the only thing is i got really sick of them despite having so many different flavors. but that's just me bc i'm just not a protein mix/shake/powder person.
