The taste is great, but I was expecting a stronger black sesame aroma, which unfortunately wasn’t there. The protein powder isn’t black, so it’s clear that the amount of black sesame powder is very small.
I lovee the black sesame flavor it’s so rich and nutty it has crunchies that gives really good texture as well. When i’m on a diet my biggest struggle is my sugar craving and i would be snacking a lot I’m surprised how good it tastes and it only has 160 calories it also keeps you full for a good amount and the packaging is so convenient i always just put it in my bag and it’s just a really easy, yummy, and healthy snack i’m so glad i got this protein shack and i’d love to try other flavors and definitely order again
I’ve been looking for a good protein alternative for a long time, but the high price always held me back.Thankfully, I was able to get this at a great deal during Prime Day—and I’m so glad I did!The taste is absolutely amazing! I highly recommend trying it if you're looking for a delicious and satisfying protein option.
I drink a lot of different Asian drinks and tons of American protein shakes, so this was something I have been curious to try. You can tell from their advertising they are pushing it heavily towards an Asian market and it's a Korean product.I didn't really know exactly how to drink it so I tried a few things. One was to mix milk into the pouches and this worked out "OK". It kinda mixed decently but I felt like I left a lot in the pouch that I couldn't get out. It did come out creamy which was nice. I tried it with water as well but it was definitely not as good as with milk. The little crunchies in it are quite fun and different than typical protein shakes. Then I tried using it like a protein shake and dumped the powder into a nutribullet and blended it up with milk. This removed most of the little crunchies unfortunately but it made them more like the little cookie pieces you'll sometimes get in higher quality snickerdoodle or cookies and creme protein shakes - which was still nice. I like that added texture. This was the most successful method overall as I felt like I could drink more of the product and I could get the ratios better and it blended better.Overall, a slightly sweet taste. It definitely reminded me of milk-teas - but also grainy a bit too. I did like it. A bit like a blended protein shake cereal mixture thing. The first time I did it my stomach was a bit unhappy after - but that didn't happen again so must have been a fluke.I think the flavoring should be tweaked a bit more for the US market - a bit more sweetness and flavoring, not tons but a bit. Maybe a bit more creaminess added to it so you can mix it with water too?
I was on a plant-based diet for a long time and used to supplement my protein needs with protein powders. Pea protein tended to be gritty while the whey was harder on the kidneys. This one differs in that it’s a soy-based protein with loads of plant products in the mix. There are a full 20 grams of protein per serving, a little under half of what I like to get. I added some of this powder to my yogurt and it mixed quite well.I didn’t add a full scoop, which provides a full protein infusion, but rather eyed it. I don’t do smoothies so can’t say if this will mix well but I suspect it probably will do just fine. The taste was quite interesting, but we’re not looking at a candy bar here. I think next time instead of using a plain yogurt, I’ll use a flavored one for added taste. When I opened up, the soy protein powder there was no clumping. It can be stored in the canister or transferred to Mason-style jars, if preferred. I have no preference here. An interesting soy protein powder, a new one on me. Very good amount of protein per serving and the price seems reasonable enough.
This sesame protein/meal replacement shakes are a quick and easy way to meet protein goals and curb hunger. They are easy to prepare, I just add cold water (or almond milk) and shake it well and it’s ready to drink right out of the bag within seconds. They are easy to store and pack to go so are a great work meal option. They taste natural and delicious, subtly sweet with plenty of crunchy sesame pieces.
It seems like reeeal korean multi grain powder called misugaroo ! It is little bit expensive compared to the capacity but i love the taste
I have never seen a traditional Asian sesame "shake" like this in a pouch before and I guess it is a sign of things becoming more modern. I really enjoy the taste and how I can have something filling by just adding water and shaking. It is nice that the screw top lid is there so I can just have some and come back for the rest later on. The crunchy protein crisps are so fun and somehow they stay crispy. My little tip is to use hot water (and some oven mitts as the pouch does get very hot) and shake well. The hot drink can be poured into a mug for a more warming treat during the cold months. I think this drink is more for those minding their carbs but not necessarily on keto very strictly as one pouch would essentially take most of the allotted carbs for the day, leaving you only a few to work with.
I totally couldn’t find any English instructions on what I was supposed to do with this, but I decided the pouches look like they are designed to be used to drink from. So I removed the cap and filled one with water. Then I shook. I poured mine into a glass so I could at least see what I was going to drink, and it tastes surprisingly good. It looks a bit like gray sludge, so there’s that. I didn’t let mine sit. I actually didn’t want it to settle. I’m not sure if it would have layered itself as pictured, or not. But the rice bits are crispy, it’s lightly sweetened, and I like the high amount of protein for the calories. I think I want to try the other flavors of this.
I took a lactase pill before drinking this because this has milk in the ingredients. I added one scoop (which I am assuming is 3 TBS per the directions) to some almond milk and stirred. A mixer or shaker would do better, but I am middle of chores so had to be quick. This was delicious and the pick-me-up I needed before I did some hard chores both inside and out because we we have storms coming and it all has to get done quickly. This meal-supplement is tasty, creamy, and hearty--not sweet but not bitter either. It's mildly sweet but not overpowering. Sweet like how certain grains and nuts can be sweet but not sugary. It quite reminds me of a grain drink I often had in Korea at one of my favorite coffee shops. I really like it!
I was really looking forward to a beverage with all the chunks shown in the pictures - the black sesame, the crisps, and the black beans. However, after mixing up this shake, only cream-color crisps are present in this brownish/gray shake. Thus, the statement made in the listing, “Don’t just drink it down, chew your food,” doesn’t seem to apply, unless we are talking about a handful of crisps per drink. The taste is decent, with a seedy/earthy taste, moderately sweet, and it mixes well in water with a whisk. I did not like that there are no instructions for mixing either on the can or in the listing description. It does say that 3 TBSP of mix makes one serving, and to be sure to dilute it for digestion. I ended up just eye-balling it, but instructions would have been nice. This is a high protein, high iron, high fiber drink mix.
The black sesame protein shake is in powder form. I wasn't aware of that at the time of ordering because I assumed all protein shakes were liquid. The order comes with seven packs of ready-to-mix plastic containers with protein powders in them. You can add either water or milk to it. I prefer milk because it tastes richer and creamier. I also like these are low in sugar. The powder is easy to mix and the containers are very portable.
Gave these a go for those days I need a quick snack or need to supplement some protein in.💓 Things to Love 👇👅 Taste was actually pleasant! Almost like a subtle rice crisp cereal with little to no sugar.🌾 The crisps were a nice texture addition.🫴 Macros are nicely balanced for a lean meal replacement.👃 Had a neutral and subtle smell that wasn't bad.🫤 Things that were meh 👇🤷♂️ Everything is in Korean which doesn't make it easy to understand the water lines, ingredients, or anything else. I see that this is all available here on Amazon, but in a quick pinch, I'm not looking that stuff up.🏷️ Pretty pricey for only 7 shakes.🧍♂️ If you could stand them up between sips that would be cool rather than putting the lid on and laying it flat.
I admit I ordered this supplement out of curiosity as I have never tried anything like it. First thing you notice is long list of ingredients, with some item on the list having chemical lab names. Some of the ingredient combinations do not make much sense, for example stevia (sweetener) is combined with corn syrup (also sweetener). My favorite ingredient on the entire list is squid ink.The list, however, does not contain anything clearly unhealty, and includes selection of essential vitamins. You will need to get over the fact that this product is peculiarly named "flimeal".Product tastes great and the roasted rice crisps are a great addition. I will likely order it again.
I’m no stranger to protein powders, drinks, and supplements, but this is my first time trying a product like this. What attracted me the most was the relatively decent amount of protein at 20 grams per serving along with the low calorie and low sugar content. The pouches are very convenient to take with me when I’m out and about, and they have become a nice portable option for me. All I have to do is add water, shake well, and then they’re ready to use. This particular Brown 17 Grains flavor is enjoyable enough to me. It's creamy and slightly sweet, and the little textured crispy bits are a nice contrast. I’d be interested in trying other flavors from this brand. I’ve been on a diet and exercise routine since mid January, and this kind of product provides what I’m looking for as far as protein intake and calories. Honestly, the only downside in my opinion is that these are quite an investment for just seven pouches. I’m enjoying using them, all the same, and I appreciate how travel-friendly they are.
